How can one possibly improve on a traditional Irish Coffee you ask, by adding vanilla ice cream and Bailey’s of course!! If you ask me Bailey’s and Jameson just go so well together flavor wise and when you add some creamy vanilla ice cream with delish coffee, umm that is heaven to me! This is one of the tastiest and simplest recipes to make, perfect for an after dinner treat. You start off by scooping creamy vanilla bean gelato or ice cream into some super cute glasses or mugs. Start drowning the ice cream in the Irish whiskey and Bailey’s. Next pour on the coffee and garnish with a chocolate covered coffee bean. That’s it, super simple right! So get geared up for St. Patrick’s Day and make some Irish Coffee Affogato cocktails! Enjoy!

Irish Whiskey Affogato This luscious cocktail boasts both Irish whiskey and Irish cream to get things started. Then throw in a generous splash of dark roast coffee poured over a scoop of luscious coffee ice cream, topped with a cloud of whipped cream and you have a concoction that's sure to please. Start with a great Irish whiskey. I had been reading reviews on Irish whiskeys when I first ran across notes on Teeling Small Batch Irish Whiskey. With partial aging in rum casks the result is a smooth slightly earthy, fruity profile. And you can’t leave out the Bailey’s Irish Cream. A beautiful blend of Irish whiskey and cream, it’s a classic liqueur. Just pouring it to a simple cup of coffee creates something quite special. So imagine the two swirled together with a scoop or two of coffee ice cream and the warmth of a dark roast coffee, slowly melting into the mix. Top with fluffy whipped cream and for good measure a sprinkling of bittersweet chocolate – indulgence is a sip away. What a great way to say cheers on St. Patrick’s Day.

Need a buzz. You're in luck! Grab your favorite Irish whiskey and a bottle of Baileys and mix up this rich, coffee cocktail. Named after the Italian coffee-based dessert, the Irish Affogato also features cold brew and coffee ice cream (when we said a buzz, we really meant it!) Enjoy as a delicious after-dinner drink on St. Patrick's Day and beyond. Cheers! Add Irish whiskey, Baileys Irish cream, coffee ice cream and cold-brew coffee into a glass. Garnish with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.

March 17, 2014 Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with simple and boozy, Irish Affogato. It’s a sweet combination of salted caramel gelato, espresso and Irish whisky. I thought with St. Patrick’s Day coming up, it would be fun to put an Irish spin on this classic Italian treat. Well, I tried both Bailey’s Irish Cream and Irish whisky, and I decided the combo of salted caramel gelato with Irish whisky was the winner. I guess the ultimate message behind this post is you should make some Irish Affogato – however you want to spin it. While you’re at it, whip up some Sausage Biscuit Skillet with Guinness. Happy St. Patrick’s Day.

The Irish Coffee is one of the most popular drinks in the cocktail canon. Perfect for breakfast, midday snacks and after-dinner pick-me-ups, it’s a versatile drink that gets the most out of whiskey, coffee and cream. The Irish Affogato combines the classic Irish Coffee with a traditional affogato for a cold, boozy treat that’s the best of both worlds, and it might become your new favorite dessert. This fun twist is made with Irish whiskey, Baileys Irish cream, coffee ice cream and cold-brew coffee. That’s a lot of deliciousness in one glass. You can make the cold-brew at home if you’re into such things, or just buy a high-quality bottled product. Mix the ingredients together in a glass—no stirring, shaking or blending required. You’ll soon enjoy the fruits of your labor, which, in this case, is not fruit but a spiked and caffeinated ice cream concoction. Pro tip: If you want to scale back the dairy and amplify the buzz, skip the whipped cream garnish and add another half ounce of whiskey.
